Take Some Time Out

It’s the first Saturday of the month, so the chance for Dads to get moving and have some breathing space.

Saturday 6th June

Rock & Roll Dads. 10.30am – 12 . Totnes Childrens Centre. Details here.

Dads, Grandads, Uncles and Male Carers welcome with their babies, up-to before the baby can independently walk.

Lots of space to stretch out, to have some uninterrupted time with your baby. Talk with other Dads about how you are getting on. Learn some key facts about your baby’s development and how gentle movement helps to wire-up their nervous system. Ask questions about what your baby’s doing and why. Give your partner a break, and build your relationship with your little one.

Dads & Toddlers. 3pm – 4pm Chapel House Studios. Details here.

For Dads and their babies from when they can independently walk to around 3 years old.

In these session we have a bit more room for toddlers to explore. You can stretch out too, after your busy week, and follow how your toddler is moving. There’s no furniture to bump into, so lots of freedom to play. Learn about how your baby’s movement is supporting their physical, emotional and social development. Have some time out together, to connect and learn about these early stages of development.

Both sessions are run by Paul Beaumont – Registered Somatic Movement Therapist. Somatic Movement refers to a range of approaches that acknowledge our physical, emotional and psychological experience, so mind and body, feelings and emotions. Paul’s training included focus on Developmental Movement – all the movements we go through from from conception to walking, that underpin our progress in life.
